Description: This is a rhizomatous evergreen perennial with large, leathery leaves. Clusters of dark pink flowers sit on red stems, repeat flowering usually in spring and then autumn. The dark leaves can turn rich browns and reds in winter making this a great plant for year-round interest.
Care: It may tolerate poor soil, but dislikes particularly dry conditions. Remove faded flower stalks and damaged leaves but otherwise this is a relatively low maintenance plant.
