Description: C. x diversifolia is a deciduous sub-shrub with a woody base and herbaceous shoots climbing up to 3 m high, with deep green pinnate leaves, and nodding flowers of four blue-violet petals and creamy anthers in summer and autumn

Care: Regular pruning of clematis encourages strong growth and flowering and keeps the growth in check. If left unpruned, clematis can turn into a mass of tangled stems with a bare base and flowers well above eye level. Cut away diseased foliage/flowers
