Description: A miniature, decorative dahlia, Dahlia ‘David Howard’ bears small, double flowers in burned orange in contrast with dark purple-green foliage. It’s ideal for growing at the front of a mixed herbaceous border, or on its own in a container.
Care: Deadhead regularly and feed with a potash-rich fertiliser to prolong flowering. Lift tubers after the first frosts and store them in a cool, dry situation until March. Then pot them up and keep them in a temperate greenhouse before planting out in late May.
